Peter Wolf - Senior Strategist, Shelter and Community Research, Best Friends Animal Society:
Peter J. Wolf is the research and policy analyst for Best Friends, a leader in the development and operation of community cat programs. Peter's role involves the analysis of science and public policy related to community cat issues, a topic he's been researching and writing about for nearly seven years.
Peter holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in industrial design. His professional experience has focused on the acquisition, analysis, and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data. As a lecturer in The Design School at Arizona State University, Peter taught courses in product design, visual communication design, design thinking and qualitative research methods
Heather Owen - Executive Director, One Tail at a Time:
Heather Owen co-founded One Tail at a Time in 2008 while attending law school. She helped run the organization while practicing litigation in Cook County until 2015. That year she left her career to help One Tail open the Adoption Center and begin to reach its potential. Since then she has served as the Executive Director where she has been passionate about implementing progressive programming to address the problem of needless euthanasia and keeping pets with their families. Heather is passionate about social justice, good books, and finding the best veggie tacos in the city. She is almost always accompanied by her One Tail alum and adventure buddy Trout
Judy Bellack - Industry Principal, Pet-Inclusive Housing, Michelson Found Animals Foundation:
Judy Bellack is a 30-year veteran of the multifamily industry, holding various executive leadership positions with some of the foremost supplier companies. Judy has served both as Chair of NAA’s National Suppliers’ Council and NMHC’s Supplier-Partner Alliance and was the recipient of NAA’s Outstanding Supplier in 2010. She currently operates a consulting practice advising start-up technologies in the multifamily space. Judy is also the Industry Principal for the non-profit Michelson Found Animals Foundation, helping to advance the Pet-Inclusive Housing Initiative.
